As the teachers of children, we assume that learning occurs in the classroom, playground, and home, whether we instruct the children or not. It will and must occur for every human being responds to the environment by learning. In order to survive. However, we take an active and deciding role in the development and implementation of curricula that we expect  will direct our children in beneficial ways, so that they become contributing members of society.
